If you are visiting this page, most likely you have been ordered by the Family Law Court to partake in an Evidence Code 730 Evaluation. It is recommended you contact this office soon after the order is made as our calendar fills up quickly.
During the course of the evaluation, please be prepared for the following:
A custody evaluation consists of psychological testing and interviews with both biological parents, the child(ren), and any significant others (i.e. current husband/wife, fiancé or live-in boy/girlfriend).
Please be assured the office staff will explain the evaluation in complete detail and will answer any questions you may have regarding the evaluation process.
***Thank you for visiting this site. We hope the information contained herein has been helpful. We are aware that divorce proceedings add more stress to an already difficult time in people's lives. Unfortunately, this often involves the determination by the Court as to how much time a parent will have with his/her child(ren). Even the best of parents must sometimes give up some of that time. As the Court's expert, it is the role of Dr. Suiter to evaluate the parents and children and make recommendations to the Court. Rarely are both parents pleased with the recommendation or the ultimate decision by the Court. The hurt and bitterness of losing some time with a child sometimes carries over to the other spouse, the judge, attorneys or Dr. Suiter. You may have seen such comments on the Internet. But rest assured, the goal of Dr. Suiter and of the Family Law Court is to make decisions in the best interest of the children. Dr. Suiter strives to that end in the evaluation he performs. Thank you.**
